Health Insurance, Health Care Reform

Some of the people who are against the new health insurance, health care reform say that it is inhibiting their personal freedom of choice. They believe that forcing them to purchase health care or pay a penalty should not be mandated by the government. Five individuals believe this so whole heartedly that they have brought the suit into the court system.

So far three courts have ruled in favor of the plaintiffs stating that the new law is indeed constitutional. On the other hand two courts have ruled against the constitutionality of the new health care reform mandates. Now it is in the hands of the Supreme Court.

It seems ridiculous that these individuals are fighting for the right to pay medical costs out of pocket, especially when most of them are financially viable to purchase health insurance. It is likely that the Supreme Court will rule against the plantiffs, forcing them to adhere to the new law. This will mean purchasing health insurance, or paying a penalty.
